A new event parallel to RIDEAU, the Move OFF!
Move OFF is an unusual event whose aim is to provide a space for encounters and uninhibited creativity for artists working in the dance and performance milieu. Its aim is to highlight experimental and conceptual dance and performance, by providing an alternative space for artists with a wide variety of practices.
Greatly inspired by the spirit of the Phoque OFF festival, the Move OFF team imagines a complement to RIDEAU’s showcases, showing the range of possibilities in order to deepen the discourse around dance and performance practices and approaches in Quebec.
This first edition of Move OFF will take place on February 13, 2024 at 9pm, at La Charpente des Fauves in Quebec City’s Lower Town.
Presentations, pitches or 5-minute excerpts will be shared with the public by the following artists: the duo Geneviève Matthieu (Rouyn-Noranda), Rozenn Lecomte (Montreal), Marie-Chantale Béland (Quebec City), Alex Morin (Montreal) and Brice Noeser (Montreal).
Afterwards, it’s party time!
