INTERNSHIP OFFER | ASSISTANT TO THE ARTISTIC AND GENERAL DIRECTORS

Art Circulation is looking for a creative, dynamic and curious person to be an intern for the DemART program coordinated by the Conseil des arts de Montréal. The internship will last six months (January to June 2023) and will see the selected person assist the artistic and general co-director in various tasks related to the coordination of activities and the representation of the organization’s member artists. He or she will also be called upon to take part in market development activities and in the preparation of promotional tools.

 

To be eligible, the person must meet the criteria of the DemART program:

  • be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident at the time of application (October 3, 2022)
  • be culturally diverse (ethnic or visible minorities)
  • be an immigrant, newcomer or first generation immigrant
  • be a self-employed person (practicing an art on his or her own account) according to the laws concerning the status of the artist and the conditions of employment in Quebec
  • be domiciled on the island of Montreal

 

Main tasks and responsibilities :

  • coordination of activities related to markets and specific projects
  • contribute to the development of promotional tools
  • communicate with partners and members
  • be present at certain networking activities
  • Assist the general and artistic co-directors with any reasonable task according to ability

 

Conditions of the internship :

  • Period: six months (January to June 2023)
  • Remuneration: $20.00/hour (contract representing a total of 600 hours)
  • Attendance at the organization’s events may be required (atypical schedule, sometimes evenings and weekends)
