Vibrating combustion dances, motor dances that dig relentlessly… Faced with the ravages of the mining industry in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Mystic-Métallic tunes bodies, earth, and machines to the same frequency. It is difficult to distinguish what is shattering from what has been shattered.
Three gargoyles are sent to decontaminate the earth. Kneeling in the chemical sludge of abandoned mining sites, they defy the darkness. Attuned to the secret power of metals, their abyssal songs open pathways connecting to the vibrating depths of the earth. Under the healing influence of their flutes and whispers, the great lie of progress crumbles, machinery grinds to a halt, and the holes close. The metals are returned to their original slowness.
